Sharks, this is a reminder that there is a scholarship available from the Jake Thomas family that is presented at the Smoky Meet. 

It requires a letter of recommendation from myself and/or Coach Chris, a detailed summary of your participation with our team compiled by you, and a short essay written by you. The deadline is July 5. If you plan to apply, please let me know ASAP so that we can work on your letter over the weekend.

The applicant should:
• Have participated five years for the same GKAISA team and be between the ages of 12 and
18.
• Have continually demonstrated team spirit and motivated others to do their best for their
team.
• Continually exhibited a strong character, leadership, sportsmanship, and team spirit.
• Have related well with and be held in high regard by his/her league, coaches, teammates,
officials, volunteers, and parents.
