Our Last Week...
Next week is our last! Does anyone else feel like this summer was on fast forward? We have a few special things happening for our last week and then it's CITY MEET! A more detailed email about City Meet will be sent out next week when we get the info, but here's what you need to know for your calendar.
SWIM PRACTICE
- Our last evening swim practice is Wednesday July 25
- Our last morning swim practice is Thursday July 26
- Our last morning and evening shark school practice is Thursday July 26
POSTER & PASTA NIGHT - Thursday July 26 at the pool
You are all invited to come to the pool to make posters for our tent at city meet (another time honored tradition!) starting at 6pm. There will be a pasta food truck there for you to purchase for some good carb-loading. Your swimmer can swim, but please note that your 11 and up swimmers should be resting for the next day! The day/night before your competition day should be restful! FYI there will also be a little shark school party happening - please be sure to encourage and welcome our next group of littles.
GKAISA CITY MEET - July 27-29 at Alan Jones Aquatic Center at UTK
- Friday, July 27th - Sharks 11yrs. and up swim preliminaries (7ish till 3ish)*
- Saturday, July 28th - Sharks 10 and under swim preliminaries (7ish till 5ish)*
- Sunday July 29th is the Championship. The Top 18 swimmers (all ages) from preliminaries for each event of the previous two days will return for the final championship score. The top 16 swim, 17 & 18 are alternates.

POST CITY PIZZA PARTY - July 29 6ish at the pool
After all of the hard week at city meet, Sharks need to EAT!!! – So come for pizza at the pool Sunday July 29th - When the championship ends, we will text out the time for everyone to meet back at the pool for a little pizza and swimming. All swimmers and families are invited, regardless of whether you swam at city. The time will be around 6:00pm depending on when the meet ends. This is truly a relaxing and fun time!
