Gulf Park Pool Update
June 13th
From Gulf Park Pool Board:
Hi GPRA members and potential members,
Here's your update on our pool work! The liner crew is at the pool and working. Don't be alarmed if the gate is closed, we have had some curious visitors and we really can't allow people on the pool area of the property during construction.
If the weather holds out, we will be filling the pool late next week. Then after one more visit from the Health Department... WE OPEN!
"WORK BOOTS AND SWIM SUITS" WORK DAYS - LET'S DO THIS!
We would love to have one good push to finish cleaning and setting up, plus let you dip your toes (or more) in the water (weather permitting). We can't *wait* to see everyone at GP on these days! It's a great chance to pitch in and have some fun.
GRAND REOPENING PARTY
We plan to be open the week of June 24, so we will host a party to celebrate on Saturday June 29! The pool will open at noon, and at 1pm we will grill some food, you bring a side dish, and let's enjoy being back "home" at our pool. ALL guests are welcome at $5 per person. If you haven't joined yet, come on out! You do not need to accompany a member for this event, just bring your guest fee. And if you decide to join, we'd love to have you. (weather permitting - as always)
TENNIS COURT WORK IS DONE PLUS SOMETHING NEW
Have you been by the top tennis courts? We've had some professional patching done and added PICKLEBALL LINES! Stay tuned for more information about some tennis and pickleball opportunities!

OTHER NEWS
Please note that we have *another* tree down (ugh, really??). This one fell from the bordering Knox County property onto our fence. We are actively working to get this resolved. We are also still working on getting quotes to take down the fence at the lower court and repurpose that space.

Here are a few questions we've gotten lately that we thought you would want to know:
Are you offering swim lessons?
Yes! In addition to our shark school program, we will schedule a 2-week group swim lesson session soon! We can also recommend private lesson instructors for you.
Who is doing the work at our pool?Jim Alexander of Blue Water Pools, LLC is our lead contractor on the project, and Renosys has staff here for the actual liner. Bryan Kennedy of Riverside Water Systems is installing our new baby pool pump.
Do you have pictures of the damage and the work?
