Meet RSVP, Liner Installation and Dates to Come

June 14th

Good afternoon Swim Team!

This is a long one, but lots of GREAT NEWS, so please read ALL.

A. First - attached is a picture, PROOF :). that our liner at Gulf Park Pool is being installed TODAY!

B. PLEASE RSVP for next meet at Jefferson City

Remember to RSVP/Sign Up (if possible for every meet ASAP) – WE NEED ALL SWIMMERS TO COME TO EVERY MEET POSSIBLE:

1.Go onto gulfpark.swimtopia.com, log in and click on the meet (may have to scroll down the events, hit next, to get to the meet(s) you need to RSVP for).

2.Click on ‘Meet Entry’ to RSVP your swimmer(s).

3.Click on ‘Edit’ and RSVP your swimmer(s) – Attending or Not Attending

4.The events your child qualifies for will come up – you do not have to click anything unless there are events you know your child prefers (this is merely preference, not signing up for events). This is also where you can communicate with coach – are they arriving late, leaving early, etc..?

5. Make sure to SAVE your edits after RSVPs. Please DO THIS FOR EVERY MEET… not just when the answer is yes. If your child IS swimming, then go on to 6-10:

6.Once you have RSVPed your swimmer(s) – make sure to sign up for a job(s). Click on ‘Sign Up for Jobs’ then again for one/both parents. Choose your job(s). We ask that each family work a half of each meet. Note that for home meets we will need MORE help – for parking, hospitality, etc… so please consider helping as much as you can.

1 Clerk of Course 2^nd half

4 Card Sorters (2 per half)

7.Make sure to SAVE ASSIGNMENTS.

8.Watch for an email from the meet director that tells you where the meet is, where to park, what to bring, etc. You'll get these emails from Liz Hall and/or Kimberly Evers, our awesome meet directors.

9.For home meets, consider bringing something to hospitality. Sharks LOVE to eat, so watch for an email requesting food donations. We have also added fun themes for our upcoming home meets, so make sure to come out ready to show your SHARK SPIRIT – Tuesday June 25^th – LUAU, Tuesday July 9^th – USA, Tuesday, July 16^th – BLUE OUT

10.You Are DONE! It is best to do each of these steps for every meet at the beginning of the season.

C. Upcoming Dates:

1. Saturday, June 22^nd

–10am-4pm – Pool work day - come and help us get the pool grounds ready for opening/first meet. Bring work gloves and maybe a swim suit (for a dip after the work :

- Also FIRST PRACTICE AT GULF PARK 😊 – we are so excited that Gulf Park Pool will be ready so want to get in ASAP – this way we will get as many practices in as possible at Gulf Park before our first home meet. Please attend if you can.

12pm-1pm (10 & under)

1pm-2pm (11 &up)

*Pool will be open for member families during this time– will also be offering pro-rated memberships of $250 for the season (swim team nonmember membership can be applied to this cost) if you would like to join.

3. Monday, June 24^th – Gulf Park Swim Team Practices Begin

Mornings – Monday – Friday

8&under: 8:15am-9:15am (warm ups at 8:15, in water by 8:30)

Ages 9-12: 9:00-10:00am (warm ups at 9:00, in water by 9:15)

13&up: 9:45am-11am (warm ups at 9:45, in water by 10)

Evenings – Monday – Thursday

10&under: 7:15-8:15pm (warm-ups at 7:15pm, in the water at 7:30pm)

11&up: 8:00-9:00pm (warm-ups at 8:00pm, in the water at 8:15pm)

4. Tuesday June 25^th – FIRST HOME MEET! LUAU Theme – RSVP TODAY!

5. Wednesday June 26^th SWIM PRACTICE– Earlier Evening Practice due to Pool Availability and Age Switch– 5-6pm (11 & up), 6-7pm (10 & under)

6. Saturday June 29th - Grand reopening party, pool opens at 12, picnic at 1
