Recap of Sugarwood Meet
Dear Team,
Happy Father's Day to all. This past saw the first meet of the 50th season of the Gulf Park Blue Sharks swim team. While we fought hard and had many top three finishes we ultimately lost the meet to Sugarwood by a score of 337- 361. While the score is what it is we as a team displayed great effort and talent in all of our races. The big picture takeaway that I get from this is that we are an amazing team that has the ability to go stroke for stroke with any team in this league no matter what obstacles are in our way. This coming week we travel to Jefferson City on Thursday. This will be our toughest and last travel meet of the dual meet season. To say that we need every available athlete is an understatement. We also need to continue to utilize the great facility that Belmont West has provided for us. I have witnessed everyone being gracious to our hosts and I thank you for that. Again, this past week was great and we need everyone continuing to work together as we strive to make the 50th year of Gulf Park Blue Sharks one of the best.
Sincerely,
Chris Franklin
