    Gulf Park Pool Update

    Wanted to share the Gulf Park Recreational Association Update sent this week:

    Hi all - it's been a busy week at GPRA. We are OPEN! We are hosting swim team practices, swim lessons, parties, and of course member swimming. It's so great to see people in the pool! GRAND REOPENING This Saturday June 29, the pool will be open 12-8 and we will fire up the grill at 1pm. Bring a side dish to share and a bunch of friends! All guests are welcome, this is one of the few days that a guest can just show up at the gate without being accompanied by a member. Guest fees are $5 per person.

    IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO JOIN USWe are offering our half-season family membership starting July 1. Just bring a check to the pool this weekend to join for $250 for the pool the remainder of the season and tennis the remainder of the year.  Nonmember swim team and shark school fees can be applied to this membership.

    T-SHIRTS FOR SALE Our super cool "vintage" t-shirts will be for sale in the concession stand for $25. The shirts commemorate our 50th year! The supply is very limited, so don't wait to get yours! 
    CONSTRUCTION UPDATE The work on the liner in the main pool is complete, and the revamp of the baby pool is complete. However, we did discover that two returns are damaged. Those repairs will start tomorrow morning - it should not interrupt our swim time, but we are asking all members to be cautious around any construction areas and be mindful of work that may be ongoing. The returns are one of those things that you just don't know until you fill the pool.
     
    AN EASY WAY TO HELP Want to know a great and fun way to help GPRA right now? Bring guests! Or how about schedule a party! Our membership and swim team numbers have taken a bit of a hit this year, which we understand... but we would love to have more people get to know us so that they can join us this year and for years to come, so that we can thrive. We've made so many improvements this year to the tennis court, baby pool, and main pool... and we have many more in mind if we can hit our membership goals. "Word of mouth" continues to be our strongest way to bring in new people... so please start talking! And I mean... the temps are in the 90s! Doesn't everyone need a pool to call home?
