As our 2019 pool season winds down, we want to say THANK YOU to our loyal members, hardworking volunteers and staff, and all in our community who contribute to make Gulf Park Pool feel like our summer home.
LABOR DAY CELEBRATION
Join us for our Labor Day celebration!
Tennis tournament at 9am
Pool is open 12-6
Picnic at 1pm, bring a dish to share and we will grill up some hot dogs to sell.
Games & fun to follow the picnic!
POOL CLOSING & NEW LEAK REPAIR
This week is our last Tues/Thur morning and this weekend is our last full weekend. Labor Day (Monday September 2) will be our last open day for the season, which is our typical schedule. We wish we could stay open later, but you've probably noticed that we have another leak. We've been holding off to do the repair at the end of the season so as not to disrupt our open hours, but we must close on time and get started on it. FYI the leak is also affecting our ability to use the skimmers properly, but we are carefully testing our water and it is safe. We will get this leak tackled this fall to be ready to open on time in May!
ANNUAL MEMBERS MEETING & ONE MORE DAY TO SWIM
We will hold our annual members meeting on Sunday September 8 at 2pm at the pool. If weather and water cooperate, you'll get one more chance to swim!
At the annual meeting, we update you on financials, set next year's rates, and elect our board. Nominations are welcome for all positions. We are all committed to continuing to help Gulf Park Pool prosper, but we truly need new ideas and energy. So if you've been thinking about jumping in - do it! Gulf Park Pool is run by members for members... you can help shape the future.
POOL WORK DAYS
We also will have some work days coming up on fall weekends. We've got a few projects we would like to tackle in the off season so that we are in great shape for spring. If you are even a little bit handy, we need a couple of hours of your help. If you are a LOT handy, you can pick your work days (ha). Here are tentative dates, please watch facebook and email for updates.
Sept 8 (general cleanup after the annual meeting)
Oct 19-20
Nov 16-17
Thanks everyone! See you at the pool!
Lori
