Hey parents,

Thank you again for everything y’all have done this summer. Apart from y’all, us coaches are just a bunch of young dumb college students! I’m so proud of what we accomplished this summer. Of course, we swam fast and found lots of success in the pool but I’m most proud of the culture we built/continuing to build on the team! We’re doing something special at GP pool.

For those of you who weren’t able to attend the banquet on Saturday evening, I addressed my uncertainty about next summer. As of now, I don’t know what this next year holds for me in a lot of ways. But I do know that the Lord’s will is better than my own. Simply put, I’m going to follow His plan for my life rather than my own. Whether that be right back in Knoxville next summer or whether it be on the opposite side of the world. I must pick up my cross and follow Him. That is my purpose in life!

It was my goal to communicate all of this as transparently as possible! I highly respect the entire GP community and I wanted to say my “potential” goodbye the right way. Regardless if I return next year, I’m confident in the direction of the team. There are many coaches who can/will step up next summer! GP is in good hands!

Lastly, if y’all have any good photos of your kid(s) and myself, i’d love to have individual pictures to keep! They can be from anytime this summer. Please send them to my personal number at 865-567-7068!
