NFC Recap and Upcoming Reminders
Parents,
Apologies for not sending this email out yesterday, I had intentions to do so. Sorry if that created any inconvenience!
Thank you so much for Tuesday night! As always, you parents are the main reason we're able to have the swim meets run smoothly. Thank you so much for the work and volunteering! Attached below are the meet results.
Overall team scores: NFC->359 GP->322
Unfortunately, this was the 3rd year round team we've faced in a dual meet this season. We can only do so much with the cards we were dealt. However, us coaches are so proud of each and every one of our athletes! I couldn't be more excited about the culture and atmosphere of the team. We have something special at Gulf Park. In fact, some NFC swimmers stuck around for the time warp to tell me that they wish they could be on our team! We may not be winning our dual meets but I'm confident that we have our priorities set straight. It's all about the kiddos' positive experience in the pool and the gathering of community. I'm confident in our ability to deliver both of those.
Few Upcoming Reminders:
-This weekend (6/29/24-6/30/24) will be the Smoky Mountain Innovational! If this is your first year attending the meet, please prepare accordingly. The meet is what you describe as organized chaos. Our lovely meet director, Kimberley Evers, has already sent out a detailed email about the weekend. Please go and read it! Additionally, I will be providing the SMI website page. Between the two of those resources, everything you'd need to know would be provided! https://smi.swimtopia.com/
-Next Tuesday (7/2/24) will be our last dual meet of the season. It's an away meet at Peninsula Club. The theme is Christmas! Should be a very fun evening. Please go ahead and declare your intention to swim or not. Thanks in advance!
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
Go Sharks!!!
