    Can you believe the time is here to sign up for swim team for the summer 2025 season? Public registration will open Saturday, March 1st, but we're sending the link early to our team from last summer! Swim Team Registration

    We'll be using the same team suit this year, but if your swimmer needs a new one, the portal is open to purchase! The password is SHARKS Swim & Tri Team Suit

    1st Practice - Tuesday, May 27th (evening) and Wednesday, May 28th (morning)
    Blue & White Meet - tentative for Tuesday, June 3rd
    Battle of the Bluff Tri-Meet - tentative for Saturday, June 7th
    Pancake Breakfast - Saturday, June 21st
    City Meet - July 10-12th
    SMI - July 26-27th 

    Pool Work Days
    Starting this Saturday, GPRA will have work days to help get the pool/property ready to open! Swim team and their families are invited to sign up! This is a great opportunity for anyone needing service hours and we are happy to sign off on them! Kids and parents can help and we have jobs for everyone! Work Day Sign Up

    Swim Team Committee
    We are excited to put our committee together and make some wonderful things happen this summer! When you register your swimmers, there will be an opportunity for you to select a position you'd like to fulfill on the committee. We have 1 or 2 committee chairs we are looking for and a handful of committee members to make this a success! A few positions are described below:

    Meet Director Assistant - This person/group of people will work closely with our Meet Director this season to help run/organize the swim meets. As our Meet Director’s swimmers age out, the Assistants would go on to be the Meet Director in the future! We can use more than 1 person for this role!

    Fundraising Committee - This committee will be led by our Fundraising chair and will help with anything fundraiser related that would earn money for our swim team. This includes corporate sponsorships, Aubrey’s Pancake Breakfast, Dine-Out Fundraisers, Andy’s fundraising nights, Lap-a-Thon, etc. We are always looking for new ideas!

    Team Building/Social Events Chair and Committee - This person/group of people would help plan/organize team building/social activities like Donut/Fun Fridays, Team Fun Nights, Ice Cream socials, Tie-Dye Night, Poster Night, and End of Season Party.

    We also have a need for volunteer coordinators for our meets, a Shark School coordinator, a hostess committee, and a spirit wear/awards committee. Please consider volunteering for a role! Swim Team Committee Volunteer Sign Up

    Lifeguards and Shark School Staff Needed
    We are looking to add a few lifeguards to our staff at Gulf Park this summer! If you or your children are interested or know someone who is, have them reach out to us. Email gulfparkrecreation@gmail.com

    Applicants must be at least 15 years old and sign up for a Lifeguard Training Course. The course is available through the YMCA: Lifeguard Training | Knoxville YMCA

    We are also hiring for our Shark School Staff. Applicants must be 15, but do not have to be lifeguard trained. In addition, we need one parent volunteer to serve as the Shark School Coordinator to help with staff scheduling and communication with Shark School parents.
