    Weeks 1 and 2 Recap

    This Week at Gulf Park...

    Gulf Park Families,

The past two weeks have been so much fun! Your athletes have impressed us with their kindness, grit, and curiosity throughout practice. The past two weeks, we have been working on learning or reviewing all four strokes. Some of our 10 and unders tried butterfly and breaststroke for the first time. Our 11-12s began working on their turns to prepare for some of their first-time racing 50s. And our 13 and overs challenged themselves with new dryland exercises. Our season is looking bright! Thank you for welcoming us into this community!

    Looking Ahead...

    Blue and White Meet:

We are so excited for our intersquad meet on Tuesday. Reminder to please go into Swimtopia TODAY and declare if your swimmer will or won’t be in attendance. For future dual meets, doing this punctually ensures that we are able to create the most accurate and mutually beneficial meet lineup. For more information on meet logistics, see the email from Stephanie Wasserman.

    Last Minute Conflict?

If your swimmer has an emergency or a conflict arises after RSVPs are due for a meet, please email Coach Annie or Coach Alyssa ASAP. The faster we know, the faster we can make the necessary changes!

    Swimmer of the Week:

The coaching staff is going to begin presenting Swimmers of the Week next week. This will honor one swimmer per age group and gender who has best showcased what it means to be a shark. It will be chosen based on practice effort, sportsmanship, and individual meet performance. We will present these at Friday morning practice. Feel free to come listen and recognize our athletes!
