Parents, the Jake Thomas Scholarship (“JTS”) is a $1,000 scholarship, which will be awarded at the Smoky Mountain Invitational to one swimmer who best demonstrates motivating his or her teammates to enjoy their swim team experience. The scholarship is a one-time award and is not renewable.

The deadline for scholarship applications is Friday, July 6th.

The applicant should:
• Have participated five years for the same GKAISA team and be between the ages of 12 and 18.
• Have continually demonstrated team spirit and motivated others to do their best for their team.
• Continually exhibited a strong character, leadership, sportsmanship, and team spirit.
• Have related well with and be held in high regard by his/her league, coaches, teammates, officials, volunteers, and parents.
