Swim Team corrections and important news!
Thanks to all of you who came out to the pool yesterday to meet our coaches! They were busy plotting some fun stuff, and I'm excited for a great summer.
IMPORTANT - Corrections Corner:
1) I walked around all day saying the wrong practice start date (*sigh*) - It is TUESDAY MAY 30! The schedule is below!
2) I also meant to remind you to place apparel orders, so I'm extending it to MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. Get your order in today to get it back for our first meet. (We will place a second order later). Form is attached - you can just reply by email today with what you want to order.
3) Have I neglected to tell you about our KIDS TRIATHLON? If you are interested, please register THIS WEEK! The tri coordinators may cancel if we don't get enough kids!! Sign up at http://racedayevents.net/events/tri-shark-youth-triathlon.
REGISTRATION
New and returning families - please register so that we can get our team count! Registration is open at http://gulfpark.swim-team.us - and it's all online. I don't need any forms from you! You can pay online or choose pay later to pay in person.
SWIM TEAM SUIT
We always pick a 2-year suit for our team for your max value. Sadly, our shark bites suit from the past two years has been discontinued. This year we are swimming in the "Speedo Angles" suit. The Senior Girls of course have their own special suit. You can buy all of these online at http://www.swimandtri.com, click "Team Portal" at the top of the left navigation, and put in "Sharks" for the code. NOTE: If you bought a suit last year and it still fits, you are NOT required to buy another one!
SWIM CAPS
The team will be supplying you with a swim cap.
APPAREL ORDERS
Our shirts this year are tiger stripe tie-dye "SHARK ATTACK" shirts! Love them! You can order them online at http://gulfpark.swim-team.us or with the attached order sheet. The last day for our FIRST apparel order is now Monday May 22, orders should be in for the Blue & White meet. We will place a second order with a deadline of Friday June 16, and orders being in by July 1(ish).

Ages 5-8: 8:15-9:15am (warm-ups at 8:15, in the water at 8:30am)
Ages 9-12: 9-10am (warm-ups at 9:00, in the water at 9:15am)
Ages 13&Up: 9:45-11am (warm-ups at 9:45, in the water at 10:00am)
Evening - Monday - Thursday
Ages 5-12: 7:15-8:15pm (warm-ups at 7:15pm, in the water at 7:30pm)
Ages 13&Up: 8-9pm (warm-ups at 8:00pm, in the water at 8:15pm)

Ages 3-5:
Mon, Tues, Wed, Thur - 9:30-10:00 am
(please arrive at 9:15am so your swimmer is ready to get in at 9:30am)

Ages 6&Up:
Mon, Tues, Wed, Thur - 10:15-10:45am
(please arrive at 10:00am so your swimmer is ready to get in at 10:15am)
*No Friday classes
Shark School Evening Program
Ages 3-5 and 6&Up:
EVENING Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri 6:45-7:15pm
(please arrive at 6:30pm so your swimmer is ready to get in at 6:45pm)
*We may have a Tuesday class if a swim meet is on a Thursday
POOL PARTY
The pool sponsors a "School’s Out Party" every year on the last day of school at noon, and you are invited! It's free for GPRA Members, $5 for Swim-team-only members. Pizza by the slice will be available to buy!
